Questions

Is the weather really from that day?
Yes. It's the recorded weather for that date and place, from the Open-Meteo weather history (weather data by Open-Meteo.com, CC BY 4.0): the high and low, the rain or snow, and the sky every three hours. The moon is worked out for the exact time of birth, and so are the sunrise and sunset.
How far back does it go?
The weather records go back to 1940, so it works for grandparents too. For a birth before 1940 the poster shows the moon and the sun, which we can work out for any date.
Which designs are there?
Four: the sky through a window at the moment of birth, a weather report ("light rain, and a 100% chance of Emma"), the first page of a storybook written from the day itself, and a little newspaper. Each comes in sage, powder blue or blush.
What if we don't know the time?
Leave it empty: the poster uses the day's weather and the evening's moon. With the time, it shows the sky and the weather at the moment of birth.
Does it show the star sign?
Yes: the star sign and the Chinese zodiac year (the Year of the Pig, the Dragon…), each with its own little watercolour picture. The Chinese year is worked out by the Chinese calendar, so a baby born in January or February before Chinese New Year gets the right animal.
What else does it show?
The star sign and the Chinese zodiac year, the birth flower and the birthstone of the month, the moon in its phase, and the sunrise and sunset, all worked out from the date, the time and the place.
What size is it?
Portrait, at the paper size you choose, from A5 to A1 or 8×10 to 24×36 inches. It prints at home or at any print shop.
When do I get my files?
Straight away. After paying you land on your download page, and the receipt email links to it too. The link stays open for 30 days (for a gift, 30 days from the day it's delivered), so download your files and keep them safe. If you need them again later, just write to us.
