Reward Chart for Kids Ages 8–12
A reward chart turns good behaviour into something children can see: a sticker or a tick for every day they manage kind words, listening the first time or sharing, and a reward they choose at the end of the week. It works because it's about what they do well, not what goes wrong.

7 tasks on a reward chart for age 8–12
For ages 8–12 the tasks are bigger jobs and habits, and the chart uses a less babyish look that older children are happy to hang up. Use them as they are, or change them to fit your family.
- Be kind to my brother or sister
- Listen and do it the first time
- Homework without reminders
- Help at home
- Screens off on time
- Stay calm when upset
- Ready for school on time
How to use it
- 1.Agree the tasks and the reward together, and put the chart where everyone sees it.
- 2.Add a sticker or a tick the moment it happens, with a word of praise.
- 3.Count the stickers at the end of the week, and keep the reward small and quick to give.
- 4.Print a fresh chart every Monday: the PDF is yours to print as often as you like.
Tips
- Three to six tasks is plenty for younger children; older ones can manage more.
- Choose a reward they really want: a trip to the park, choosing dinner, a film night.
- Never take stickers away: if a day goes badly, tomorrow is a fresh start.
- Change one task every few weeks, as a habit becomes easy.
