Reward Chart for Kids Ages 5–7

A reward chart turns good behaviour into something children can see: a sticker or a tick for every day they manage kind words, listening the first time or sharing, and a reward they choose at the end of the week. It works because it's about what they do well, not what goes wrong.

Tips

  • Three to six tasks is plenty for younger children; older ones can manage more.
  • Choose a reward they really want: a trip to the park, choosing dinner, a film night.
  • Never take stickers away: if a day goes badly, tomorrow is a fresh start.
  • Change one task every few weeks, as a habit becomes easy.
