The sun on the day that mattered: a wedding, a birth, the day you met. Choose the date and the place, and the print shows the sun exactly as it was there, with sunrise, sunset and the hours of daylight worked out for that spot. Pick one of four styles: Sun path: the sun's real arc across the sky over layered hills, with a dot for a moment you choose, such as the ceremony. Day ring: the day's 24 hours as night, twilight and daylight. A midsummer wedding is almost a full gold circle; a December birthday is a thin one. Seventies sunset: a striped sun over the sea, with the hours of daylight as the headline. Sun & moon: the day's sun above that night's real moon. Add names, your own line, the date, the place and its coordinates. Every word sits well inside the edges and each paper size is laid out for its own shape, so nothing is cut off when you frame it. You get a print-ready PDF at the size you choose, from A5 to A1 or 8×10 to 24×36 inches, ready the moment you pay. Nothing is posted.

Questions

Are the times accurate?
Yes. Sunrise, sunset, twilight and the sun's path are worked out for the exact date and place you choose, in that place's own time zone. Far north or south, where the sun may not set or not rise, the print says so.
What are the four styles?
Sun path: the sun's real arc across the sky over layered hills. Day ring: the day's 24 hours as night, twilight and daylight. Seventies sunset: a striped sun with the hours of daylight. Sun & moon: the day's sun above that night's moon.
Can I mark a moment, like the ceremony?
Yes. Add a time and the sun is drawn where it was at that moment on the Sun path and Sun & moon styles. Without one, it's drawn at its highest.
Will anything be cut off when I frame it?
No. Every word and the drawing sit well inside the edges, and each paper size is laid out for its own shape, so a mount or a trim only takes a little background colour.
What size can I print it?
You choose the paper size while you design it: A5 to A1, or 8×10 to 18×24 inches. The PDF is print-ready at that size, to fit a standard frame.
How do I print it?
At home on good, heavy matte paper, or take the PDF to any print shop or photo service and ask for it at its size. Dark skies look richest on matte or fine-art paper.
May I use it commercially?
It's for personal use: print it as often as you like for your own walls or as a gift. Please don't sell it or prints of it.
When do I get my files?
Straight away. After paying you land on your download page, and the receipt email links to it too. The link stays open for 30 days (for a gift, 30 days from the day it's delivered), so download your files and keep them safe. If you need them again later, just write to us.
Is anything posted to me?
No — these are digital files. You print them yourself at home or at a print shop, so there's no shipping and no waiting.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. In the cart, tick “Send it as a gift”: we email it to them with your message, on the day you choose. You get the download link as well.
What if something is wrong with a file?
Write to us and we’ll fix it or send a corrected file — and if we can’t, you get a full refund. See Refunds.
