A high and low temperature blanket

Every row in two halves: the day's high on one side, the night's low on the other, so the blanket shows both how warm the days were and how cold the nights. One colour key covers both, and the list gives each day's two temperatures.

A high and low temperature blanket: each row half the day's high, half the night's low

Two temperatures a row

The high and the low for every day, from the weather records.

One colour key

The same colours for days and nights, so warm days and cold nights sit side by side.

Where to change colour

The pattern gives the stitch where each row changes colour, so a line runs down the middle.

Questions

How do I change colour mid-row?
Work to the middle stitch in the high's colour, then change to the low's colour at the last step of that stitch; twist the yarns in knitting so there is no hole.
Does it work with a row a week?
Yes: each week's average high and low.
Which yarn do I need?
The pattern names real shades and their numbers in Stylecraft Special DK (UK), DROPS Paris (Europe) or Red Heart Super Saver (US), and how many balls of each. Or use your own yarn: the pattern gives grams for each colour.
What do I get?
A PDF pattern to print: the cover with your blanket and the colour list, the instructions, every row with its date and a box to tick, and a print of the finished blanket, for €9.90.
